For Liberty

On this day when we celebrate the liberty of our nation’s people and raise our thanks to those who have encouraged it, endorsed it and provided it through service, education and life’s blood, we must, as Christians, be most aware of the blessing of freedom which passes the boundaries of life and leads us into eternity. We stand in the presence of Almighty God and hear the voice of Jesus claiming us before the Father. For if the Son sets you free, you are really free.
