Good Tidings of Great Joy

JOY...such a small word, but a word that has a HUGE meaning for us as Christians. During these past months, and even before that, we have all had days where we have struggled to find joy in our lives. But FEAR not!! (as the Angel's told the shepherds). I bring you good tidings of great JOY!!! From that moment on JOY became human and walked among us.

I asked my daughter the other day what the word Joy meant to her. She replied, “Having a light heart”. I thought that was exactly why Jesus came to dwell among us. To teach us all to keep a “light heart”, even in times of sadness. For we know the One who came to live amongst us and show us the way.

Our Savior! God became flesh and dwelt among us giving us and showing us all we need to know about our life here on earth with JOY!! In all situations, (both happy and difficult) we must remember to keep JOY in our hearts. Not just during Christmas as we celebrate his birth but every single day. As you decorate your homes for Christmas, remember to keep the reason for the season in your hearts and keep it there each and every day! Wishing you all JOY at Christmas time and every single day during the coming year.

Five steps for a joyful life:

1. Spend time with the Lord regularly. Prayer keeps you connected to HIM.

2. Remember who is Lord over your life. Don't let your circumstances dictate who you are or how you feel. You can do it!!!!

3. READ your Bible. Finding time is so important!

4. Listen to worship music. It keeps you focused on JOY!!!!
