Knowing God in a Season of Thanks

It is the time of year when we turn our thoughts to the blessings we have received and the gratitude we should show. The Psalmist worded it so well:
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him. Bless His name. For the Lord is Good; His Mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100 KJV
While I enjoy reading The Message and other modern translations and interpretations, it is the King James version of the Bible that seems to speak best of the need to give thanks, to honor by giving praise. Our thanks not only recognizes Who God is but impresses upon us the responsibility of sharing that knowledge with others…and to reflect those attributes in our own lives as we seek to serve Him.
Join us this month as we celebrate "A Season of Thanks." May we bless His name, for He is Goodness, He is Mercy, He is Truth.
